Alert or stop traffic intermittently as required by the progress of work in a work zone.
Operate small equipment and hand tools on a variety of job sites consisting of paving, grading, pipe installation, and site work.
Maintains housekeeping of job site and facilities, ensures equipment is in good working order
Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in asphalt paving, typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etc
Properly follow all Company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.
Performs routine inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance on small equipment and hand tools if within abilities; escalates issues that are not repairable or safe.
Routinely assists other members of the crew as needed, including shoveling and cleanup
Fuel, oil and grease to ensure proper function of equipment and complete associated paperwork
Performs other related activities as assigned
