Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Electrician at the Journey or Master level to join our electrical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), and promotes the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and safety procedures.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts for high-voltage and low-voltage systems.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools to identify issues quickly and efficiently.
- Complete high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 standards and local electrical codes.
- Conduct routine maintenance on industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or renovations, providing expert guidance on electrical blueprint reading and schematics.
- Ensure all worksite activities follow strict electrical safety procedures to protect yourself and others from hazards associated with high-voltage systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, repairs, modifications, and compliance records for all projects undertaken.
- Assist in training apprentices or junior electricians when needed to promote a safe learning environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a licensed electrician at the Journey or Master level within industrial or commercial settings.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, low voltage controls, and industrial automation components such as PLCs.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and schematics reading techniques.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes to ensure code-compliant installations.
- Construction site experience with renovation projects or new builds involving electrical wiring, blueprint reading, framing carpentry skills, and schematic interpretation.
- Hands-on experience working with hand tools, power tools, high-voltage wiring practices, and low voltage systems in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures combined with practical experience in adhering to OSHA regulations during all phases of work.
