Holiday & Permanent Light Installer
Orlando, FL | $20–$30/hr + Overtime + Performance Pay
Light The Peak is hiring a Holiday & Permanent Light Installer for professional outdoor lighting installations throughout the Orlando area.
This is a hands-on field position involving Christmas lighting, permanent roofline lighting, ladders, elevated work, tools, and detailed exterior installations. During peak holiday season, the schedule can reach 50–60 hours per week, including 6-day workweeks.
We're looking for someone dependable, professional, mechanically inclined, and capable of maintaining a strong work pace while producing clean, high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Install professional C9 roofline lighting and holiday displays
- Wrap palms, trees, columns, shrubs, and other landscape features
- Install wreaths, garland, mini lights, and specialty décor
- Work from extension ladders and elevated areas
- Run, secure, organize, and test cords, timers, and connections
- Measure, cut, and install permanent roofline lighting track
- Route and conceal low-voltage wiring cleanly
- Use drills, saws, hand tools, and installation equipment
- Load, unload, and organize ladders, tools, and materials
- Troubleshoot basic lighting and installation issues
- Complete required quality-control checks
- Maintain clean and organized jobsites
- Protect customer homes, landscaping, roofs, gutters, and other property
- Assist with seasonal service calls and January takedowns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years or older
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Comfortable performing physical outdoor work for extended periods
- Comfortable working from ladders and at elevated heights
- Able to lift, carry, climb, reach, and work overhead repeatedly throughout the day
- Available for extended hours and 6-day workweeks during peak holiday season
- Able to follow detailed instructions and installation standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and punctual
- Professional when working around customers and their property
- Able to work effectively as part of a crew
Previous lighting experience is preferred but not required.
Experience in roofing, gutters, solar, low-voltage, landscaping, tree service, construction, sign installation, exterior trades, or similar field work is a plus.
What the Work Is Like
This is outdoor installation work performed throughout Central Florida.
Peak holiday season includes long days, frequent ladder use, repetitive climbing and lifting, working around rooflines and landscaping, and maintaining production expectations throughout the workday.
The position requires both efficiency and attention to detail. Installations must be completed on schedule while meeting our standards for appearance, workmanship, property protection, and functionality.
Cutting corners to finish faster is not acceptable.
Compensation
$10–$30 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability.

Schedule

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
