Job Duties:
A payroll administrator is able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency to process and manage the company’s full cycle payroll process using various systems to record timekeeping as well payroll functions to include processes practices, payroll functions and record retention.
***Transportation, Distribution, HR and payroll (ADP) experience.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
- Receive approval from management for timekeeping and payroll functions, including authorized deductions as needed
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and leadership
- Oversee/process salary changes, vacation and sick time, benefits, leave of absence, terminations
- Collect/verify Payroll Change Authorization Forms
- Assist in audit activities
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in a timely manner
- Analyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure employee payroll processing is in compliance with federal and state laws
- Prepare reports for management, finance department etc. weekly or as needed
Qualification Guidelines
- Required: ADP Workforce Now
- High school graduate or equivalent, plus minimum of 5-year experience.
- Bilingual Spanish
