Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles to complete assigned routes.
- Load and unload packages and mail using appropriate lifting techniques, heavy lifting skills, and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Drive route-specific vehicles with precision, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols while maintaining an efficient delivery schedule.
- Deliver parcels directly to customers’ doorsteps or designated drop-off points, providing friendly and professional customer service at each stop.
- Manage route logistics by planning the most efficient path, loading packages correctly, and ensuring timely deliveries throughout the day.
- Maintain vehicle safety by conducting routine inspections, reporting issues promptly, and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance. .
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving is beneficial.
- Demonstrated customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients and community members.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly throughout the day. .
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while maintaining flexibility for changing routes or schedules. Pay: $21.40 - $26.33 per hour
