Job Overview
MTI Aviation is currently seeking a seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. This is an in-person position based at our facility and is not a remote role. In this vital role, you will manage the company’s incoming payments, ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, and maintain strong relationships with clients regarding billing and collections. Your expertise in accounting systems, financial software, and customer service will drive efficient cash flow management and support our overall financial health. Responsibilities
- Process and record all incoming payments using various accounting software including QuickBooks and Quantum billing systems.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of receivables data and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage collections accounts by contacting clients via phone or email to follow up on overdue invoices and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Prepare and send invoices, statements, and payment reminders in accordance with company policies and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Maintain detailed records of transactions, adjustments, credit memos, and journal entries related to accounts receivable activities.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Accounts Payable and Customer Service to resolve billing issues efficiently.
- Analyze Excel data using formulas and pivot tables for reporting purposes, supporting financial analysis and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts receivable management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and technical accounting concepts.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quantumor similar systems; experience with billing software is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing), along with advanced Excel skills including formulas and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance standards related to financial controls is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients via phone and email while demonstrating professional etiquette.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to analyze accounts, perform account reconciliation, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of accounting practices is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
