We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The Teacher will be responsible for implementing curriculum, engaging students in meaningful learning experiences, and collaborating with parents and staff to promote student success.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes social-emotional growth.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to enhance literacy, math, and critical thinking skills among students.
- Assess student progress through various methods, including observations, tests, and portfolios, to inform instruction and provide feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with special education staff to support students with diverse needs and ensure inclusive practices are upheld.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education, including Montessori methods if applicable.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and literacy education techniques.
- Experience working in private schools or daycare settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in curriculum development is an asset.
