All Pro Heating, Air and Plumbing, a woman- and family-owned Indianapolis HVAC and plumbing company, is hiring a Technical Job Coordinator.
Read this part before you apply: this is not a dispatcher job and it is not a phone job. Dispatchers in this market pay $20-24 an hour. We are paying more because this seat has to understand the work well enough to push back on a technician - and sell. You are the quality gate between our tech in the field and the customer's decision.
WHAT YOU OWN
- Talk to the technician before the residential call is closed out
- Help the tech build three real options for the customer - not one price
- Assist building the estimate for the tech while he is still standing in the house
- Coach the tech on how to present the repair - most techs are not natural salespeople
- Verify every repair quote is finished AND SENT before the tech is released to the next call. This is a hard gate. If he did not do it, you do it
- Verify the multifamily install checklist and set up the same-day or next-morning site visit - Hold the client authorization rules - NTE limits, who can approve what, on which account - Spot the turnover to a Comfort Advisor while the tech is still on site
- Backup approver on tomorrow's board once you are up to speed
HOW YOU WILL BE MEASURED
- Repair quotes sent same day - 100%
- Average repair ticket on calls you coached
- Options-presented rate - customers who saw three choices, not one
- Turnovers passed to a Comfort Advisor while the tech is still on site
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Enough HVAC knowledge to ask a tech for a reading and know if the answer is wrong. Former technicians are strongly encouraged to apply
- Sales instinct. If a tech tells you "she can't afford it so I quoted the cheap fix," you need to know why that is the wrong call
- You can hold a technician to a standard over the phone, politely, all day
- Fast and organized - this is a call-by-call job, not a project job
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
