Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on urology patients using specialized equipment and techniques
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of the internal organs and tissues
- Analyze and interpret the images to identify any abnormalities or diseases
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound technology program
-RDMS certification preferred
- Proficiency in performing renal, scrotal, and penile ultrasounds in accordance with established protocols and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret diagnostic images
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
