Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME)
THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN ELK POINT, SOUTH DAKOTA
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Subject Matter Expert to serve as the technical authority for electrical systems within a modular manufacturing environment. This role supports electrical design execution, manufacturing integration, troubleshooting, compliance, and production support.
The Electrical SME works cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to ensure electrical systems are code-compliant, manufacturable, and repeatable.
Responsibilities
- Review and support electrical system designs and assemblies
- Ensure compliance with NEC and applicable electrical codes
- Support production teams during ramp-ups, rework, and complex builds
- Troubleshoot electrical system issues and manufacturing conflicts
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Coordinate electrical integration with structural and mechanical systems
- Support continuous improvement and standardization initiatives
- Participate in inspections, audits, and customer support activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of electrical systems experience in manufacturing or modular environments
- Strong NEC knowledge
- Experience reading schematics, prints, and wiring systems
- Experience with modular electrical builds or prefabrication preferred
