We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer – Mid-Level to create, maintain, and enhance high-quality technical documentation for software applications, business processes, and IT operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), developers, analysts, and operations teams to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation for software systems, business processes, and IT operations.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
- Research, analyze, and gather information through document reviews and interviews with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Create user guides, process documentation, technical specifications, reports, SOPs, and training materials.
- Develop diagrams, flowcharts, process maps, and other visual documentation using Microsoft Visio and other documentation tools.
- Organize and manage documentation repositories, ensuring version control and document accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, operations, and customer support to ensure documentation aligns with business and technical requirements.
- Review, validate, and test documentation for usability, completeness, and accuracy, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare technical summaries, reports, and project documentation using industry-standard documentation practices.
- Maintain documentation standards, templates, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 48 months (4 years) of experience drafting and developing technical documentation for software applications, business processes, and IT operations.
- 48 months (4 years) of experience organizing complex technical information into clear, accurate, and logically structured documentation.
- 48 months (4 years) of experience conducting research, document analysis, and interviewing stakeholders and SMEs.
- 60 months (5 years) of experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Visio, for documentation development.
- 36 months (3 years) of experience in document management, including organizing information, creating diagrams/charts, and utilizing documentation management systems.
- 36 months (3 years) of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, operations, and customer support teams.
- 36 months (3 years) of experience reviewing, validating, testing, and updating technical documentation based on user feedback.
- 36 months (3 years) of experience utilizing industry-standard technical writing, reporting, and documentation methodologies.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
