Bubbs Corner Pub is under new management and we're building a strong new team!
We're looking for friendly, energetic, and dependable Servers who enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced bar and restaurant environment.
We're entering an exciting new chapter with plans to expand our food business, operating hours, weekend brunch, sporting events, entertainment, and special events.
If you're outgoing, enjoy meeting people, and want the opportunity to make great tips while working in a lively neighborhood pub, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests quickly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Learn the food, cocktail, beer, and drink menus
- Make menu recommendations and upsell when appropriate
- Enter orders accurately into the POS system
- Check IDs and follow responsible alcohol-service procedures
- Deliver food and beverages promptly
- Check on guests throughout their visit
- Pre-bus and maintain clean, organized tables
- Run food and help teammates during busy periods
- Communicate with bartenders and kitchen staff
- Handle payments and guest checks accurately
- Complete opening, closing, and assigned side work
- Maintain clean server stations and guest areas
- Follow uniform, attendance, and service standards
- Help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere
- Work as a team during high-volume shifts, sporting events, brunch, and entertainment nights
What We're Looking For
- Previous serving experience preferred
- Sports bar, pub, restaurant, or high-volume experience is a plus
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and punctual
- Team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Friday and Saturday availability strongly preferred
- Brunch/daytime availability is a plus
Certifications
- BASSET certification required or ability to obtain
- Illinois Food Handler certification required or ability to obtain
