Assistant Store Managers are expected to promote a team working environment and operational excellence. Assistant Store Managers support and report to the Store Manager as well as other team members throughout the designated store, on providing an exceptional guest shopping experience. This position requires an individual to have high energy, outgoing personality and someone who is passionate about leading.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, while also responding to customer inquiries or complaints. Also, ensuring that all team members greet customers in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed.
- Direct and supervise employees by demonstrating leadership attributes to include: building and maintaining trust with your team members by holding self and team members accountable, and communicating frequently and effectively.
- Available to work beyond 40 hours a week when necessary.
- Maintain a strong team by supporting the Store Manager on: training, scheduling, coaching, resolving conflicts, make decisions by problem solving, offering timely feedback on performance and lead by example.
- Partner with the Store Manager to achieve operational excellence and hit financial objectives on store promotions, sales objectives, etc.
- Assist with achieving the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store (inside and out). Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves/displays and selling merchandise. Bathrooms are expected to be cleaned regularly.
- Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised.
- Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Store Manager or person in charge in their absence.
