Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning food items as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Assist with food assembly and plating during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and preparing food stations in advance
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food preparation activities
- Help with general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing work areas throughout the shift
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during high-volume service times
Skills
- Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, catering, or banquet settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of proper cleaning procedures and sanitation standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and hygiene practices
