Job Title: Operations & Field Technician Specialist

Position Summary:
Crystal Clearwater Resources is seeking motivated personnel as operators and technicians for a commercial scale thermal desalination plant. Successful candidates will rotate between serving as both on-site plant operator and plant maintenance technician. Employees will work in a cutting edge and growing industry while working for an industry-leading company and have opportunities for growth. Plant operations will be located at existing oilfield water recycling facilities in the Midland area. Prior experience in oilfield services is preferred but not required. Candidates should live in the Midland / Odessa area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor water treatment and desalination systems through SCADA and remote monitoring platforms, for alarms, performance trends, and anomalies
- Analyze operational data, alarms, and trends to identify performance issues or optimization opportunities
- Log operational data and contribute to daily reporting
- Participate in troubleshooting workflows and maintenance coordination
- Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and system checks on treatment units
- Collect and log water quality data for compliance
- Provide real-time support for system startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting activities
- Ability to interpret process diagrams and instrumentation
- Interface with on-site partners and report operational status to management
- Maintain inventories of critical parts and equipment
- Strict adherence and enforcement of safety protocols and compliance with randomized drug and alcohol testing
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, technical certifications, college degree a plus
- 1–3 years in water treatment, oilfield services, or mechanical systems preferred
- Experience with SCADA, PLCs, or industrial HMI platforms
- Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions, travel to remote sites, and work flexible shifts
- Able to lift 50lbs of weight unassisted
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with basic instrumentation
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Live in or near the Midland / Odessa area
- Valid Driver's Liscense & access to reliable transportation
