Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing for transportation of hazardous materials and dangerous goods
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain accurate delivery schedules
- Transport automobile parts or other freight across long distances while maintaining compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery statuses, or safety concerns
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including freight delivery and route driving
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation, hazardous materials regulations, and logistics cargo handling procedures
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems accurately for efficient routing
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods
- Strong manual handling skills for loading/unloading freight safely and efficiently
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service
