Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services in a clinic setting. Your expertise will help children improve their communication skills, support language development, and enhance their overall quality of life. Duties
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized speech therapy plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Support children and students with diverse communication challenges, including speech disorders and language delays, in both clinical and educational environments.
- Deliver targeted therapy activities focused on improving articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension.
- Support early intervention programs by working with young children to develop foundational communication skills.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, families, and other professionals to ensure cohesive care plans and effective client support.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote speech therapy sessions when necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
Skills
- Prior experience working with students or clients with disabilities, especially in pediatric or school settings.
- Familiarity with speech-language pathology procedures including plan implementation and client communication.
- Ability to support clients with diverse needs such as language disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency issues, and voice concerns.
- Experience working with children in early intervention or school environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of child language development stages and effective intervention strategies.
- Excellent collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork in a multi-disciplinary setting.
