We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Expo/Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team! Duties
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing as needed to support kitchen staff
- Clear and clean tables, bussing dishes efficiently to maintain a tidy dining area
- Support kitchen staff with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment following safe lifting practices
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to coordinate timely service
- Maintain cleanliness in food service areas, including cleaning utensils, surfaces, and storage spaces
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in banquet service, catering, or hotel hospitality is advantageous
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and team spirit
