Metal Treaters Inc. has the longest continuous ownership (established in 1948) in the metal treating industry serving Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Although MTI began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full service capabilities that include: Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. Job Summary: Assist furnace operator by setting/racking furnace loads.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble furnace loads as instructed.
- Unpack and repack parts as instructed.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Assists Supervisor in training functions as directed.
- Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
- Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
- Participates in company sponsored training as required.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned,.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently.
Working Conditions:
Working on the processing floor where there is dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals, and varying temperatures (hot in the summer, cool in the winter).
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Considerable amount of walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Safety Shoes Required.
Hours: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10pm
Pay: $16.37 - $18.00 per hour
