Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment at The Griffin, located inside the all new Hotel Indigo Troy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests receive attentive and friendly service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy in orders.
- Manage the Micros POS system for processing orders and payments.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Familiarity with Micros POS and OpenTable systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
