Job Summary
Join our dynamic security team as an Unarmed Security Guard, where your vigilance and commitment to safety will be vital in maintaining a secure environment. In this role, you will monitor premises through CCTV surveillance, conduct regular patrols, and manage access control to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help prevent incidents and respond effectively to emergencies, creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across various areas of the facility
- Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Write detailed incident reports for any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures for fire safety, medical emergencies, or other incidents
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors when required to uphold security standards
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and deterring theft or vandalism
Skills
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation
- Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards in physical security environments
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary
- Excellent conflict management and de-escalation skills to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
- Experience with incident report writing and documentation procedures
- Basic first aid skills including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures relevant to security roles, including performing background checks and emergency response protocols
- Proficiency in using access control systems and security technology such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate professionally with diverse individuals
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties and maintain alertness during long shifts
