Responsibilities
- Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming using straight razors and other tools
- Deliver expert hair coloring, hair styling, and hair extension services tailored to each client’s preferences
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing retail sales
- Provide excellent customer service by listening carefully to client needs and offering personalized recommendations
- Upsell retail products like hair care items, nail care products, and styling accessories to enhance client satisfaction and store revenue
- Mentor junior team members on techniques such as eyelash extensions, nail care, and retail math strategies
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; experience working in the beauty industry is highly preferred
- Proven expertise in hair care, coloring theory, barbering techniques including straight razor shaves, and hair styling
- Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members
- Experience working with diverse clientele on services like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care is a plus
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards within a salon environment
- Previous experience in retail sales and upselling within a salon setting is advantageous
