- Assist in keeping the facility and our residents clean and safe as assigned by the Environmental Manager.
- As resident count varies, Environmental Aides must be available to work in either laundry or the housekeeping departments. Aides must be available to work any shift and area of the facility that may be necessary and as directed by the Environmental Manager.
- Be proficient in the procedures and products used for the disinfecting and cleaning of the facility.
- Be proficient in the procedures and products used to clean resident clothing and facility linens.
- Label all cleaning products. Be sure MSDS sheets are available.
- Answer resident call lights and alarms, assess the situation and assist the resident if possible. If unable to assist the resident, keep them safe and leave the call light on until a member of the nursing staff arrives to assist and/or relieves you.
- Attend various seminars/training sessions as necessary to stay abreast of changes pertaining to the position of housekeeping/laundry aide.
