Overview

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for inspecting, measuring, and verifying products to guarantee they adhere to strict quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
- Perform quality audits aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (medical devices), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to ensure adherence to regulatory and legal standards.
- Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments and maintain calibration records to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Collect data during inspections, analyze trends, and prepare detailed reports to support quality management systems and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support manufacturing teams by providing feedback on quality issues, assisting with root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions.
- Participate in internal audits related to quality systems, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and other compliance standards to uphold our commitment to regulatory excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA regulations.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools including height gauges, dial indicators, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and production documents accurately.
- Familiarity with calibration procedures for precision measuring instruments and the use of GD&T principles for dimensional measurements.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to identify deviations from specifications quickly and accurately.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and data analysis.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), QA/QC processes, and conducting quality audits in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to document findings clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance.
