The Plumbing Installer is responsible for installing, replacing, and maintaining residential plumbing systems and fixtures while ensuring compliance with local codes and safety regulations. This role involves interpreting blueprints, assembling and installing plumbing components, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining company equipment and vehicles to support efficient, high-quality service delivery.
Total Compensation: Hourly, $31 - $45/hr based on experience and licensing, plus monthly truck bonuses, commissions, and performance spiffs
Schedule: Monday- Friday- 8am-4:30pm, No after hours, no mandatory scheduled weekends, home every night.
Company vehicle and gas card provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, Install and replace plumbing systems and fixtures, including water filtration, whole home repipes, sewer repair/replacement, tubs, sinks, faucets, and water heaters ensuring work meets local code and safety standards.
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and water filtration systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of services performed and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and plumbing regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, inventory and company vehicle.
- Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
Required Experience:
- Illinois Journeyman Plumbing License or
- 3 years of accredited apprenticeship hours through IL dept. of Public Health
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and enter confined spaces as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Intermediate knowledge/use of industry-standard software (I.E Service Titan, or other related systems)
