EXCEL Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Millwright to join our team in Plaquemine, LA. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in industrial settings. Your expertise in mechanical systems, precision alignment, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance will be essential to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our industrial processes.

Machinery Installation: Assemble and install new machinery and equipment according to technical specifications, blueprints, and manufacturer instructions.

Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery to maximize performance and reduce equipment downtime.

Machinery Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot equipment failures, and repair or replace defective components.

Precision Alignment: Align and calibrate mechanical components, including gears, couplings, belts, bearings, and shafts, to ensure proper operation.

Lubrication: Lubricate machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance and minimize wear.

Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.

Predictive Maintenance: Utilize predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis and thermography, to identify potential equipment issues before failures occur.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance personnel, operators, and engineers to coordinate maintenance activities and improve equipment reliability.

Proven experience as an Industrial Millwright or in a similar industrial maintenance role.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, shafts, couplings, belts, and power transmission equipment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, and equipment specifications.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.

Experience using precision alignment tools, including dial indicators and laser alignment equipment.

Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis and thermography, is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

NCCER certification is a plus.

OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or other applicable safety certifications are a plus.

Must be able to pass a security passport background check.

Must be able to pass pre-employment testing.

Ability to perform physically demanding work in industrial environments.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to work in confined spaces, including tanks, vessels, and crawl spaces.

Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, ascend and descend stairs, and work safely at elevated heights.

Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, crawl, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a work shift.

Ability to perform overhead work and repetitive motions involving the arms, shoulders, and hands.

Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, fall-protection harnesses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.

Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, humidity, rain, and dusty environments.

Ability to tolerate exposure to noise, vibration, fumes, and other conditions common to industrial work environments.

Physical strength and stamina to safely lift, move, and position heavy machinery and equipment.
Pay rate for this position is determined by NCCER Level.
