Redemption & Delivery Associate
Position Overview
Beverage Center is looking for a dependable, hardworking Redemption & Delivery Associate to primarily handle the daily processing of customer can and bottle returns. This position is responsible for keeping the redemption operation organized, accurate, clean, and moving efficiently.
When redemption volume is under control, the associate will assist with putting away deliveries, stocking coolers and shelves, moving product, and maintaining an organized backroom and sales floor.
Forklift experience is a strong plus and may provide opportunities to take on additional delivery and warehouse responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
Redemption — Primary Responsibility
- Receive and process customer can and bottle returns.
- Sort cans and bottles accurately and efficiently.
- Organize and bag redemption according to store procedures.
- Keep the redemption area clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter.
- Identify and separate unacceptable or questionable containers.
- Ensure redemption is processed accurately to minimize counting errors and financial losses.
- Keep up with redemption throughout the shift so that empties do not unnecessarily pile up.
- Safely move bags, boxes, and other redemption materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized redemption area at all times.
Delivery & Stocking Support
- Assist with receiving and putting away distributor deliveries.
- Move cases and pallets of beer, beverages, and other products.
- Stock beer coolers, beverage coolers, and sales-floor shelves.
- Rotate and organize inventory using proper FIFO practices.
- Break down deliveries and place products in their appropriate locations.
- Help maintain an organized backroom, basement, coolers, and sales floor.
- Assist with moving empty pallets and other delivery-related materials.
- Help keep the store fully stocked and ready for customers.
Forklift Experience
Forklift experience is strongly preferred.
Candidates with prior forklift experience may assist with:
- Moving pallets and large deliveries.
- Loading and unloading product when appropriate.
- Organizing warehouse and storage areas.
- Other material-handling responsibilities as assigned.
Forklift operation will be subject to company policies, equipment requirements, and applicable safety rules.
Qualifications
- Previous experience handling bottle and can redemption is preferred.
- Beverage center, liquor store, grocery, warehouse, or retail experience is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move cases of beverages and redemption bags.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision.
- Ability to keep work areas clean and organized.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
- Forklift experience is a strong plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy cases of beverages and redemption bags.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and moving product.
- Ability to work in coolers, backrooms, and other warehouse/storage areas.
- Must be comfortable performing repetitive physical work throughout the shift.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who works quickly, stays busy, and takes ownership of the redemption area. This is not a position where the employee should wait to be told what to do.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
