Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are consistently met
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners safely and efficiently
- Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and outdoor work as needed
- Use appropriate cleaning detergents and supplies while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and heavy lifting
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles
- Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation practices
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling procedures
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior areas or outdoor spaces
