Mormon Trail Community School District is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused educator to serve as our K-12 Band and Vocal Music Teacher. This position provides an opportunity to work with students across all grade levels while developing and leading instrumental and vocal music programs that are valued by our school and community.
The successful candidate will inspire student participation, foster a love of music, and provide meaningful performance opportunities throughout the school year.

Provide music instruction to students in grades K-12.

Direct elementary, middle school, and high school vocal music programs.

Direct beginning, middle school, and high school instrumental music programs.

Prepare students for concerts, festivals, contests, and community performances.

Foster positive relationships with students, families, and community members.

Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to support student success.

Utilize technology and instructional strategies that enhance student learning.

Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with students and families.

Participate in district professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain appropriate Iowa licensure through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE).
