JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTING CLERK III - ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Obtains financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties as may be assigned.

Invoice Entry – Confirming invoices match purchase orders and entering invoices for payment in computerized accounting software system.
Generate Payments to Vendors – via checks, ACH deposits, etc.
Prepare and mail 1099’s and other tax documents, as needed.
Reconcile our records to monthly statements from vendors. Identify and resolve differences.
Maintain vendor files.
Incumbent will be responsible for understanding and complying with company EMS policies and procedures in the performance of their job duties.
Report all environmental issues immediately to their supervisor.
Read and understand the company’s emergency notification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at their work site.
Performs other duties as defined by manager.
Level determined by experience and additional duties.

Job Requirements:

Minimum one year Accounting or Bookkeeping experience
Experience with computerized accounting system is required
Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent customer service skills
Must possess initiative to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative

ADA Requirements:

Stoop, Stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds while moving files

Must be able to read and write

Utilize desktop computer to perform job functions

Utilize telephone for communications with internal and external customers

Sit or Stand for long periods

Must be able to perform repetitive motion

File in standard file cabinets
