Duties
- Greet pet owners and visitors warmly, providing outstanding customer service and answering questions about pet care services
- Schedule appointments, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently to keep the flow smooth and organized
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces to promote a healthy environment
- Assist with basic pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Support veterinary staff with animal handling during examinations or treatments when needed
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel including feeding, walking, administering medications if required, and monitoring health status
- Perform light administrative duties such as updating records, processing payments, and managing phone inquiries
- Engage in dog training activities or pet sitting assignments to enhance behavioral development and owner satisfaction
- Heavy lifting may be required when moving supplies or assisting with large animals
Experience
- Previous kennel or animal care experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dog handling and animal restraint techniques is essential
- Veterinary technician or assistant experience is a strong plus—knowledge of veterinary procedures benefits the role
- Experience in pet grooming or pet sitting demonstrates versatility in animal care skills
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication abilities to connect effectively with clients
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of dog training methods or veterinary experience enhances your ability to support animal well-being effectively
