Position Summary
NOTE: This opening is for Zip Code 32837 (Hunters Creek Area)
Under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA / BCaBA), the RBT is responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans and delivering direct applied behavior analytic (ABA) services to clients. The RBT collects behavioral data, assists in the assessment of clients’ progress, and provides support and training to caregivers, under supervision.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct one-on-one behavioral interventions in accordance with the treatment plan designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect, record, and graph data on target behaviors, skill acquisition goals, etc.
- Assist in conducting preference assessments, prompting, fading, reinforcement, generalization, and behavior reduction procedures (as outlined in the plan).
- Maintain fidelity to protocols and follow treatment plan guidelines.
- Communicate with supervisors about client progress, challenges, and treatment modifications.
- Provide feedback and training to caregivers (parents, school staff) when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment during sessions; assist with materials and setup.
- Participate in supervision sessions (face-to-face or virtual) as required.
- Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality (HIPAA / privacy), and professional conduct.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Must hold a valid RBT certification (Registered Behavior Technician) from the BACB (or be in progress with plan to complete).
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to pass background screening (Florida Level 2 background check or equivalent) and abuse registry check.
- Reliable transportation (if travel to client homes / community settings).
- Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to work with children and/or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Willingness to receive feedback, follow supervision, and comply with protocols.
Preferred / Additional:
- 1+ year of experience working in ABA, behavior intervention, special education, or related field.
- Prior experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Coursework or background in psychology, special education, human development, or related fields.
- Experience with behavior data collection and graphing software.
- CPR / First Aid certification.
- Bilingual / multilingual abilities (depending on client base).
- Reliability, patience, ability to handle challenging behaviors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
License/Certification:
