Overview
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Line Cook/Prep Cook to join scratch kitchen, someone who takes pride in preparing delicious, high-quality meals. As a key player in our kitchen, you'll ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence. Hours available. - - Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11am to 8pm with hour break from 4pm to 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Support meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage.
- Help ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with menu planning and portion control to ensure consistency across all dishes served.
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing and presenting food as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.
Skills
- Experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction when needed.
