Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix ingredients according to established recipes and production guidelines
- Operate industrial ice cream manufacturing equipment, including pasteurizers, mixers, freezers, and packaging machinery
- Maintain strict compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other food safety management standards
- Conduct routine sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with production equipment promptly to minimize downtime
- Assist with packaging finished products efficiently while ensuring quality control measures are met
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques during heavy lifting tasks
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on your feet for extended periods
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures and maintaining cleanliness in a food production setting
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices and packaging processes
- Valid certification or training in food safety standards is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
