QA – Quality Assurance Associate
Position Overview
The QA Associate is responsible for monitoring and maintaining product quality, food safety, and compliance throughout the production and packaging process. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and report quality or food-safety issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect products throughout the production and packaging process.
Verify that products meet company quality and food-safety standards.
Monitor product appearance, weight, labeling, packaging, and overall condition.
Perform quality checks and document inspection results accurately.
Identify damaged, defective, contaminated, or non-conforming products.
Immediately report quality or food-safety concerns to the QA Supervisor or management.
Ensure employees are following proper food-safety and sanitation procedures.
Monitor cleanliness of production areas, equipment, and workstations.
Verify proper labeling, dates, lot numbers, and packaging information.
Assist with maintaining accurate QA records, logs, and reports.
Follow company policies, GMPs, HACCP procedures, and other food-safety requirements.
Help investigate quality issues and assist with corrective actions when needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other QA-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Previous QA, food production, quality control, or warehouse experience preferred.
Food-industry experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to identify quality and food-safety issues.
Ability to read and complete basic production and quality documents.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to follow food-safety and company procedures consistently.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in a food-production/warehouse environment.
Ability to frequently bend, reach, and move around the production area.
Ability to lift and move items as required by the position.
Must be able to work in varying temperatures depending on the production area.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a food-production and warehouse environment. Employees are expected to follow all food-safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, PPE, and workplace safety requirements.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
