Build structured cabling infrastructure: install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A.

Work with fiber optics end-to-end, including fusion splicing and performance testing.

Set the backbone right: install and splice high-pair copper backbone cable.

Lay in the pathway components—cable tray, ladder rack, backboards, sleeves, and J-hooks—ensuring clean, supported routes.

Perform code-compliant firestopping wherever penetrations occur.

Test and certify using the right tools: certify structured cabling with Fluke DSX-8600 testers and validate with OTDR equipment.

Read and interpret construction drawings/specs to execute with precision.

Document as you go—maintain accurate test reports and project records.

Conduct site surveys to identify optimal cable pathways.

Keep the job site safe, organized, and client-ready.

Coordinate professionally with project managers, customers, and other trades.

At least 3 years of commercial low-voltage installation experience.

Hands-on background with structured cabling and fiber optic systems.

Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.

Working knowledge of TIA/EIA standards and industry best practices.

Experience with Fluke certification equipment.

BICSI or manufacturer credentials are a plus.

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders and lifts.
