Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments and record medical histories
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide support in managing patient appointments and scheduling
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow
Skills:
- Proficiency in using scanning software for dental prosthetics
- Knowledge of dental coding and billing procedures
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining dental documentation and records
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and the dental team
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Dentrix, is a plus
This position requires a Dental Assistant certification or relevant experience along with your radiology license in a dental setting. The ideal candidate should be organized, reliable, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
