Responsibilities
- Prepare food items efficiently and accurately following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, handle cash transactions, and manage sales
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food handling tasks including bussing tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
- Support quick service operations by managing time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Engage in basic math calculations for cash handling, retail math tasks, and inventory management to ensure accuracy
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as cafes, quick service restaurants, or grocery stores is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions
- Experience with cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or working in retail environments is advantageous
- Culinary experience or restaurant experience will help you excel in this role
