Mobile Automotive Technician – South Austin
Location: Austin, TX — Mobile Service, South Austin & Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Contract — Full-Time / Part-Time Flexible
Pay: $80–$100/hr effective labor rate depending on technician level
READ BEFORE APPLYING
This is not an entry-level C-Level position.
We are looking for B-Level and A-Level automotive technicians who can work independently, diagnose problems accurately, and take ownership of the vehicle in front of them.
This position is not a good fit if your experience is primarily:
- Oil changes
- Tire shops
- Basic maintenance
- Parts installation without diagnosis
- Service advising
- Call center or customer-service roles
We are looking for technicians who can:
- Diagnose vehicles independently
- Solve problems without guessing
- Test before replacing parts
- Handle no-start, electrical, drivability, mechanical, and diagnostic problems
- Work effectively in real-world mobile field conditions
- Know when a vehicle is outside the scope of mobile service
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally
If you cannot confidently diagnose a vehicle, this position is not for you.

There is no unnecessary micromanagement.
You are expected to operate independently while remaining fully accountable to your Foreman and Office Manager.
We provide the structure, systems, and customer flow.
You are responsible for the work.
