Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Landscape Cost Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential landscape construction projects. Working closely with our design, project management, and operations teams, the estimator plays a critical role in helping secure profitable work while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in landscape or construction estimating, understands landscape installation methods and construction processes, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where multiple bids and deadlines must be managed simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, specifications, and contracts to assist with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
- Assist in preparing construction estimates using Excel; including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Budget development, and project scope analysis
- Help coordinate with Site Foreman, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and scheduling information.
- Manage and organize project documentation including contracts, change orders, receipts.
- Conduct site visits as needed to assess conditions, and support field operations
- Use Bluebeam Revu or similar tools for digital plan markup, document review, and team collaboration
- Track cost data and help monitor budgets throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a related field
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and construction drawings
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Programs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu or PDF markups for takeoff/Scaling.
- Background in residential Landscaping, or similar field.
- Hands-on field experience or trades background
