Position Summary
The Retail Store Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store while providing exceptional customer service and leadership to team members. This role helps ensure the store is clean, organized, fully stocked, and operating efficiently. The Supervisor serves as a leader on the sales floor, assists with employee training and development, and helps drive sales while maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers and their pets.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
- Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, and store standards.
- Assist with training, coaching, and developing team members.
- Provide direction and support during daily operations.
- Help motivate staff to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Address minor employee concerns and communicate larger issues to management.
- Assist with scheduling and shift coverage as needed.
Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build relationships with customers.
- Provide product recommendations for pet nutrition, treats, toys, supplements, and supplies.
- Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Support special orders, online orders, and customer inquiries.
Store Operations
- Open and close the store according to company procedures.
- Ensure shelves are stocked, faced, and merchandised properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Assist with receiving, pricing, stocking, and inventory counts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Sales & Performance
- Help achieve store sales goals and key performance metrics.
- Promote store events, loyalty programs, and special promotions.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales through merchandising and customer engagement.
- Assist management in implementing sales initiatives.
Animal Care (If Applicable)
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of live animals, fish, reptiles, and small animals.
- Follow all feeding, cleaning, and habitat maintenance procedures.
- Educate customers on proper pet care and husbandry.
Qualifications
- Previous retail experience preffered.
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of pet products, nutrition, and animal care is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
