Overview

Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
- Lead, train, and support staff in implementing child development instruction, classroom management, and behavior management strategies
- Coordinate curriculum planning that promotes early childhood education, preschool activities, toddler care, and infant care
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns
- Ensure all staff are trained in mandated reporting laws, first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and other emergency procedures
- Supervise child supervision practices to guarantee safety and engagement during all activities
- Manage enrollment processes, maintain accurate records of attendance, health information, and licensing documentation
Experience
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities
- Prior classroom experience in daycare centers or early childhood education settings demonstrating strong classroom management skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs to support inclusive learning environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and teaching strategies for young children
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or early childhood education are a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team leadership
