We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Internal Medicine Hospitalist Physician to join our vibrant healthcare team. Duties
- Deliver expert inpatient care across a broad spectrum of internal medicine conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with specialists in cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, nephrology, neurology, oncology, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Interpret medical imaging and diagnostic radiology results to inform clinical decisions and treatment strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and clinical research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital protocols.
- Manage emergency situations with skills in airway management, acute pain management, and critical care procedures within a Level I trauma center setting.
Experience
- Post-residency experience in internal medicine or hospital medicine is required; prior inpatient hospital experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems platforms for documentation and order entry.
- Hands-on experience with medical imaging modalities including CT scans and radiology reports interpretation.
- Knowledge of healthcare diagnosis procedures across multiple specialties including cardiology, gastroenterology, dermatology, pulmonology, neurology, and others.
- Experience in inpatient settings involving complex patient assessments, triage protocols, and post-operative or post-acute care planning.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols for infection control, HIPAA compliance, CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical research activities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills and patient service orientation.
