Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take the wheel of a versatile fleet dedicated to delivering essential freight across diverse routes. In this energetic role, you’ll operate tractor-trailers and specialized trucks, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. Your expertise will drive our success as you navigate various types of loads, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, contributing directly to our customers’ satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment as needed, ensuring cargo integrity.
- Drive a variety of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to meet diverse delivery needs.
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight documentation, and delivery records for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record with 120h of instruction from school.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
- Proven truck driving experience in freight delivery, including route driving and load management.
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods; forklift certification is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for commercial driving and cargo handling.
