American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN for an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit in Louisville, KY, requiring at least 1-2 years of hospital experience and active LPN licensure.

Work is performed in a 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital on a 12-14 bed unit (1 South or 2B)

Specializes in the treatment and recovery of patients experiencing stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury

Adult patient population (ages 18 and older)

LPN patient ratio is 1:10
-
On-site equipment includes EKG machine and bladder scanner

EMR system is Cerner
-
Day shift, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Every weekend is required
-
13-week contract
-
Active LPN license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 1-2 years of LPN experience, with hospital experience required

Rehab experience preferred

Current BLS certification (AHA only) required

Active NIHSS certification required

Full COVID and flu vaccination required — no exceptions

US Social Security Number required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position

Common diagnoses and treatments include amputee care, stroke recovery, and hip and knee replacements

Royal blue scrubs are required

The facility does not accept candidates with any type of disciplinary actions or flags on their license

AHA certifications must not expire in the same month as the assignment start date

Gaps in work history of 3 months or more require an explanation
