SUMMARY:
Performs the following: measuring and blending the appropriate raw materials into medication batches. Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment required to perform the job task.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identification and weighing of raw materials.
- Cleaning, inspection, and assembly of blending equipment and holding tanks.
- Assembly of filters.
- Performance of all documentation functions connected with the batching process to provide proper accountability and traceability.
- Insuring the proper and timely calibration of all instruments related to the compounding operation.
- Assisting Q.A., Chemistry, and Inventory Control in the management of raw materials, with respect to quantity, suitability, and expiration.
- Generating work orders for the proper maintenance of all compounding equipment and the Compounding Area.
- Take samples for incoming chemicals.
- Handle chemical waste in accordance with OSHA/EPA regulations
- Strict adherence to cGMPs, SOPs, and Safety Regulations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding and knowledge of basic Chemistry principles.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work unsupervised as a team member.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- High level of alertness and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of an Associate Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Life Sciences. BS is preferred.
Pay: $25.25 - $31.65 per hour
