Position Summary
We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Assistant who enjoys both patient care and client interaction. This hybrid role combines hands-on veterinary assistant duties with front desk responsibilities to help ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our patients, clients, and team.
While this position is primarily based at our Primary Care hospital, candidates should be willing to provide coverage at our affiliated hospitals as operational needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments.
- Safely restrain patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
- Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collect laboratory samples and assist with in-house diagnostics.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized hospital.
- Greet clients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and process payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with clients.
- Support daily hospital operations while working collaboratively with the veterinary team.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work at affiliated hospital locations as needed.
- Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts.
Preferred
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Receptionist, or similar veterinary support role.
- Experience with veterinary practice management software (Instinct, ezyVet, Cornerstone, or similar).
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and basic patient care.

● 4 days, 10 hours shifts per week
● Day, Swing or overnight shifts
