Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Manager to join our mortgage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position is responsible for the management, oversight, and development of the Quality Control program. The Quality Control Manager will provide coaching and training to staff members to help drive departmental productivity and achieve strategic objectives. In addition, the Quality Control Manager must proactively monitor loan level testing results, and provide detailed, actionable feedback to senior and executive leadership to address areas of elevated risk and improve loan quality.
GENERAL FUNCTION
This position is responsible for the management, oversight, and development of the Quality Control program. The Quality Control Manager will provide coaching and training to staff members to help drive departmental productivity and achieve
strategic objectives. In addition, the Quality Control Manager must proactively monitor loan level testing results, and provide detailed, actionable feedback to senior and executive leadership to address areas of elevated risk and improve loan quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for policies, procedures, and practices for mortgage loan quality
· Develop and implement quality control strategies to ensure loan quality meets investor, and insurer requirements
· Acts as central point of contact for internal and external Quality Control audits
· Provide staff with appropriate level of guidance, coaching, and training to meet departmental objectives
· Ensure all investor and regulatory reporting is completed on or before required deadlines
· Conduct monthly Quality Review meetings with senior and executive management to review quality trending and
provide recommendations that will strengthen alignment with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, VA, and private label lending requirements
· Lead monthly QC Vendor calibration sessions to streamline workflows, improve processes, and share loan level errors and/or omissions that were found during testing cycles
· Analyze audit results to help determine the potential root cause of deficiencies and escalate trending concerns to Chief Compliance Officer
· Other special projects as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for leading Quality Control team, and providing QC vendor oversight
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the mortgage industry
· Minimum 4 years’ experience in Mortgage Origination Compliance and Quality Control
· Advanced understanding of mortgage lending guidelines and consumer protection laws, rules and regulations including Truth-in-Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, Fair Lending laws, and Advertising laws, etc.
· Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to deliver presentations
REQUIREMENTS
· QC vendor management experience (QC Ally platform experience a plus)
· Adept with Ellie Mae Encompass LOS
TECHNOLOGY
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Dynamic understanding of automated underwriting systems

Pay: $110,000.00 per year
