You are here to kick off the day with our event managers! Make sure you have a cup of coffee and a good breakfast- We need your energy to get the ball rolling!
- On the day of an event you will meet your manager at the shop to help load the truck safely, with all event merchandise (tables, chairs, dinnerware, miscellaneous cooking items, décor items, food, etc.)
- On event day, go through the load list with your manager to make sure all that is on the list is checked off and in the truck; a smooth-running event starts with you- no pressure! We know you’ve got this in the bag!
- Box truck driving experience preferable; but not required- We pay for all certifications!
- Able to be on foot 10-12 hours at a time, and able to lift up-to 50lbs
- You are captain of making sure all items are secured safely on the truck to ensure safe hauling during transportation
- Upon arrival of the venue unload the truck and give safe direction to any other team members assisting you
- Make sure all items are stored where they need to be at the venue, for front-of-house staff to take over from there
- Set up a well-organized breakdown area at venue for dishes and tableware
- Be able to adjust to any job your manager gives you throughout the evening, and always be willing to help-out your teammates
- Throughout the evening you will be expected to help assist service staff keep food displays stocked (appetizer tables, buffet tables, coffee and tea, etc.)
- Assist service team with busing tables and display areas
- While you will most likely have less guest interaction than our serving staff, any and all guest interactions are still handled with well-mannered and polite responses
- After the event Is broken down, you will have assistance with re-loading the truck to transport back to the shop
- Unload used and dirty items in proper places at the shop to allow for easy flow into the next event
- This will make life easy for the following event team, as we want you to start your day problem free as well – hold yourself accountable!
- Follow up with a quick clean of the truck, leaving it nice for your co-worker; You would want that to!
- We set up for events with attention to detail in every aspect; our guests expect us to provide perfection when they enter as well as throughout the duration of the event
- We are a team, and everyone pitches in to clean up the event space, leaving it cleaner than we found it.
- FULL-TIME PORTERS- off-event days; you will assist in warehouse organization, unloading deliveries, and preparing loads for upcoming jobs
