Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Gas Station Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs, ensuring a positive experience at the gas station.
- Operate fuel pumps and handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station, including the convenience store area, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are displayed attractively and are easily accessible for customers.
- Conduct product demos to promote new items or special offers, enhancing customer engagement.
- Upsell products and services to customers, contributing to overall sales goals.
- Supervise other attendants during shifts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, addressing customer questions or concerns effectively.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to learn about products offered at the gas station for effective selling.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends and holidays as needed.
